This place suits me perfectly! It has reliable wi-fi, 24-hour reception, free parking, and non-smoking rooms. I'll never forget how the staff helped me print important documents during my first stay. I'm coming back for Christmas!

When I read the reviews, I was worried about cleanliness and safety. The front desk attendant was VERY friendly and helpful. I don't know who was waiting on the reviewer who was saying otherwise. The price was fair and only 3 city blocks to metro. I felt safe walking at night to and from the metro with my 67 year old mother in this neighborhood. Despite its flaws, I would recommend it for the price and location.
We reserved a non-smoking room with 2 double beds but when we arrived it was smoking so we were switched to a non-smoking room with a king bed and an apology. The room was clean but did have mold in some areas in the bathroom. The room safe and one light did not work.

I loved that the hotel is just a few steps from Acorn Park and not far from the vibrant Downtown Silver Spring, making it super easy to explore and enjoy the local sights and eateries.

The staff was frendly, but they had very little to work with. They were excellent at getting the Internet connection operating. Also, for instance, when water started pouring into my bedroom from upstairs during the night, I called the front desk and the water sound stopped within an hour or so. Fortunately, the room was only half flooded, and my luggage was on a chair.
This hotel was an absolute dump. The only way for you to grasp how bad this place was, you must go see it yourself - and be sure to check into a room without letting them know who you are. The rooms were worse than the cheapest rooms I ever stayed in when I was 6 years in the service as an enlisted man during Viet Nam. My friend's room door lock did not lock, and his deadbolt was operated by the outside door handle. I cannot recomend Travelodge to anyone, after this experience. Worse than my worst experiences in Asia or Turkey.

The location is excellent, very close to public transport and dining options. The bed in my room was comfortable, and I appreciated the cleanliness of the facilities. The staff was friendly, quickly addressing any questions I had. It was a good experience for a business trip.
Bathroom could use updates, and internet connectivity was unreliable.

Place was damp and smelt bad. The area felt unsafe and the help desk had bullet proof glass. My room door looked like it had been forced in a couple of times. There was some tramp clothed by the bin in the corridor next to my room suggesting they were using it as shelter by night. An anoying noise like a cricket but mechanical kept on going all night.

Location and cheapest available hotel.
Room was a bit tatty and not breakfast, which for $104 per day was a bit cheeky.

Had an awesome getaway with friends! We explored the local area and caught a game at Capital One Arena. The stay was comfortable, and the hotel made everything easy. The staff were helpful, and the vibe was relaxed. Definitely a good spot for group trips.
One downside was a sink malfunction we reported, which took too long to fix.

It was in an okay location. We walked about 4 blocks to the metro(marc?). I can never figure out the bus routes, but the metros are easy enough. Room was large, but I think we were in a special room. No bugs!!!
Wiring in room a little scary (drop cords). Dated rooms. Air conditioner inefficient for room size.

Our stay there was such wonderful. Well priced venue, excellent location short walk to the Metro station, and DC, truly enjoyed our stay. Functional room, that also was cheap with microwave & mini fridge. We had great meals in the hotel; visited Denizens Brewing Co based not far away.
